Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge doc fees?

No. Preparing the titlework and paperwork that goes with a vehicle sale is very labor intensive, but it is part of our job. When I was a car salesman at bigger dealerships, I could never explain to a customer why these fees were needed (other than for extra profits), so I promised myself that when I owned my own store, I would not charge a doc fee to my customers.

Why do some of your vehicles have such high mileage?

I buy inventory based on its condition, not its mileage. After inspecting thousands of cars in my career, I’ve learned that mileage can be a guide but not a guarantee of condition. I’d trust a well-maintained high-mileage vehicle over a neglected low-mileage one any day.

Do you offer vehicle history reports?

Yes. We use Autocheck for our vehicle history reports. It might not have the flashy marketing of other providers, but it’s widely trusted by lenders and auctions for its accuracy — that’s why we’ve chosen to partner with them.

Why are your vehicle descriptions so long?

I take pride in inspecting vehicles and communicating their true condition. Having worked as a senior vehicle inspector and early eBay seller, I’ve seen how transparency builds trust. My detailed descriptions point out flaws, strengths, and an honest assessment of each vehicle.

Are your used cars in perfect condition?

No — and that’s realistic. Every used car shows some wear and tear. I hand-pick vehicles with solid mechanical and structural integrity. If there are small cosmetic issues, I’ll disclose them rather than overprice repairs. My goal is to offer value and honesty.

Do you drive the vehicles that you offer for sale?

Yes. I personally drive most vehicles for at least a day or two, sometimes a few hundred miles. This helps me understand their condition and disclose any quirks accurately. Because of that, actual mileage at purchase may be slightly higher than listed.

Do you take trade-ins?

Yes, we can accept trade-ins in most cases, typically at fair wholesale pricing.

Are your vehicles inspected?

Yes, all retail vehicles pass a North Carolina state safety inspection before being offered for sale.

Do you offer financing?

Not currently. We want to ensure any future lending partner treats our customers fairly and avoids hidden or excessive fees. In the meantime, we’ll gladly work with your bank, credit union, or lender to complete a smooth transaction.

Do you offer extended warranties or service contracts?

Not at this time. We may offer them in the future after thoroughly vetting companies for fairness and reliability. If you represent a third-party warranty provider with a solid, transparent program, feel free to reach out.
